- Everybody who uses a clone uses 16-bit over 15-bit (that is if they don't use
- 24-bit). Alpha Channel is rarely used on the clones for anything and why would
- you use Alpha Channel for your Win95 or Windows desktop? I dunno what machines
- you are referring to which 'preferably' use 15-bit, but it has to be a very
- small part of the market.

- Just think what having a 16-bit mode would mean... Workbench could run in
- 16-bit (no HAM crap to worry about), Games, 3d programs, paint programs,
- etcetera... most of these are at a loss if they have to use HAM8. 16-bit is
- much more usefull and versatile. HAM8 is nice for displaying stills but for
- anything else it is useless.
